Project Description
Following graduation in 1965 from Marquette University and serving as a Marine officer, Jim attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine-Des Moines University. After residency in Family Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1976 he worked in a variety of primary care settings in the Midwest and later, Arizona. He has completed the certificate program in bioethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center, and has a MA in bioethics from Midwestern University. He retired from the Army Reserve Medical Corps in 2002, and retired from active practice in the Indian Health Service in 2013. He currently volunteers as a clinician for Mission of Mercy and as a Board Member of 1st Way Pregnancy Center. He also serves as a Regional Director for Region X of the Catholic Medical Association. He and his wife of 52 years, Rose, are members of Saints Simon & Jude Parish where Jim is a member of Council 12708 Knights of Columbus. They have 7 children and 14 grandchildren.
